Reminder – With the month of May designated as Mental Health Matters Month, there’s no better time than now to check in on our own mental health and the mental health of the people we care about.  This month, our Social Emotional Team will be getting the word out about what we can do and the actions we can take to attend to our mental health needs. We also have a series of events planned on 5/23/22-5/27/22 to celebrate mental well-being. We encourage our Tiger families to take action by checking in on your own mental health and the mental health of someone you care about. When you check in with yourself, you might find that you need some self-care activities and other support options to give your mind and body the break they need to recharge. When you check in with others, you can let them know you’re there for them if they want to talk as well as help them get support from other sources if they are in need. Learn More about Mental Health at http://takeaction4mh.com/wp-content/uploads/docs/TakeAction4MH-UnderstandingTheSpectrumofMentalHealth.pdf

If you would like to get support and get involved, please join the National Alliance on Mental Illness as it hosts its annual NAMI Walk on May 14th, 2022, at Woodward Park.  Students get involved

Updated Student Contact Tracing Protocols.

There will be new protocol used when someone tests positive who has been in the classroom. We will be shifting to a process of group contact tracing for students. This means parents will receive a message if their child is in a class or on a team with someone who has tested positive. This is a change from sending out a message to the entire school and will allow us to ensure parents know of possible exposure, since you will only receive the message if there was a positive in your child’s classroom or on their team. All students who are part of the group contact tracing will be able to stay in school, if they do not have symptoms, regardless of vaccination status. We will also no longer put an entire class on quarantine status.
