Hello, Tiger Families! 

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! At Edison High School, we are excited to welcome back our returning students and greet those joining the Tiger family for the first time. At Edison, we proudly live by our motto, “One Tiger, Many Stripes,” which reflects the diversity, strength, and unity of our school community. 

We are also proud to share that Edison High School was recently recognized as a 2026 California Distinguished Schools Program Exemplary Achiever School — the only comprehensive high school in Fresno Unified to receive this distinction. This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our students, staff, and families. We are proud of all that we have accomplished together and remain committed to continuing our legacy of excellence. 

We look forward to partnering with our families as we continue to build upon our tradition of academic excellence. Edison offers 26 Advanced Placement courses, a robust Career and Technical Education program, and more students enrolled in both programs than any other high school in Fresno Unified School District. We are also proud of our growing Dual Enrollment program, which allows students to earn both high school and college credits while taking courses on our campus. 

This year, Edison will also participate in the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accreditation process. WASC accreditation is a comprehensive review that helps ensure our school continues to provide students with a high-quality education. Through this process, schools reflect on strengths, identify areas for growth, and develop plans for continuous improvement. Teachers, staff, students, and parents all have opportunities to provide input as part of this important process, which occurs once every six years. 

As the new principal of Edison High School, I look forward to building strong relationships with our families and community. Throughout the year, I will host community forums and opportunities for families to connect with me directly so I can better understand the priorities and goals you have for your students.
